Diploma Verification and Graduation Procedures
Diploma Procedures
In order to receive your diploma, you must first complete the Disenrollment process.
You can complete the disenrollment process in three different ways:
-
You can initiate it through the “Request Disenrollment” option available in your Student Information System,
-
You can contact your Department’s Student Affairs Office and request the process to be initiated online,
-
You can complete the disenrollment process by obtaining the DISENROLLMENT FORM from your Department’s Student Affairs Office, getting it approved by the relevant units.
Diploma Collection Procedures
After completing the disenrollment process, you can receive your diploma in four different ways:
-
By personally applying to the Diploma and Graduation Services Branch Office/Diploma Office of the Student Affairs Directorate,
-
For graduates who are unable to visit the Diploma Office in person, their representatives can collect the diploma on their behalf by presenting a notarized power of attorney (original copy of the power of attorney),
-
If the diploma holder is abroad, the diploma can be collected with a power of attorney obtained from a Turkish Consulate,
-
By applying via mail with the "Diploma Request by Mail Petition" form (clearly filled out and signed) and the required additional documents mentioned on the form (Click here for the Diploma Request by Mail Petition), your diploma will be sent to your address by registered mail, postage paid by the recipient, upon application to the Student Affairs Directorate.
Note: Completing the Disenrollment Process is mandatory for all four diploma collection methods.
For Those Who Have Lost Their Diploma
The person who has lost their diploma must:
-
Submit a Reasoned Application Petition explaining the situation (including address, phone number, and signature),
-
Submit the Application Petition Form for Those Who Have Lost Their Diploma (Click here for the Form),
-
Submit a lost diploma notice published in a nationwide newspaper (the entire newspaper page must be attached, not just the coupon),
-
Provide a photocopy of their ID (1 copy).
After submitting these documents to the Student Affairs Directorate, a duplicate diploma will be issued upon the approval of the university's administrative board.
Note: For graduates from programs approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health, the duplicate diploma must be sent for verification to the authorities authorized by the Ministry before being delivered to the diploma holder, which may cause delays in the delivery process.
